William Fry Junior Lawn Tennis Championships of Ireland 2015 - Invitation from Ulster Coaches- Training Schedule & Support

Dear Parent/Guardian,

David Lloyd, Riverview, have advised that they cannot now accept our Sunday booking. We have now booked courts at Donnybrook LTC (for details see https://www.donnybrookltc.ie/index.php/contact) and look forward to seeing you there at 7pm on Sunday evening.

Please co-ordinate these arrangements with Stuart and Lynsey in case of any unforeseen circumstances and please text us if you have not yet got in touch and wish to attend. Many thanks.

Stuart McQuitty & Lynsey McCullough

Ulster Coaches

Dear Parent/Guardian,

We are delighted to see your child entered in the William Fry Junior Lawn Tennis Championships of Ireland 2015 beginning on Friday, and wanted to let you know how Ulster Tennis plans to support your child during the tournament.

As the Ulster Tennis Coaches organising and delivering the training sessions we are hopefully well known to many of you and are Lynsey McCullough (former multiple singles winner at Fitzwilliam) and Stuart McQuitty (current Irish veteran international).  We will be in attendance from Sunday 16th - Saturday 22nd August and primarily are there to offer a schedule of training sessions, support, guidance, and feedback for players, if requested.  In many ways we are flag wavers for the Province and want to see as many Ulster successes this year as possible.

We have organised 11 free practice sessions for any Ulster player to attend and get warmed up prior to their match. These sessions are open to anyone who is from Ulster, regardless of their coach or what squads they take part in. Representing Ulster at any level, and even in an individual tournament is an honour, and we want all players to feel part of a larger team.

Our first practice is on Sunday night from 7-8:30pm at David Lloyds, Riverview, Beech Hill Road, Dublin (see website for location at http://www.davidlloyd.ie/club-finder/dublin-riverview/club-map#8IE8Z7Sw2yGSJ18y.97). This will be followed by a short 10-15 minute parents meeting just to introduce ourselves, outline the training schedule and the support we are offering throughout the week.  We hope some of you can stay and have a chat as well.  To help us plan for this first session we ask that you text Lynsey McCullough to register by 6pm on Saturday 15th August using the mobile number provided below and it would also be helpful to us if you could advise on this text if you intend to attend the parents meeting.

From Monday 17th - Friday 21st there will be two daily practices from 7-8:30am and 12-1pm which will be at Mount Pleasant Lawn Tennis Club (for location see club website at http://www.mountpleasantltc.ie/club-information/location.html.)  These are drop in sessions so players can stay for as long or as short a duration as they would like. We have access to only two courts and would ask that you let Lynsey know by text by 9pm on the evening before using the mobile number below if your child plans to attend and also indicating your preferred session, either morning or afternoon. Parents and other coaches are welcome to watch from outside the fences, but we would ask that you let us organise the session, and not join us on court. There will be no coaching as such, but just the organising of getting players as match ready as possible.

We hope your child enjoys this week regardless of their on court success, and leaves feeling inspired to practice even harder and achieve more in the future.  We also hope that friendships are made and enhanced off the court as this wonderful sport can add so much joy to everyone's life.

Please feel free to contact us at any time during the tournament, and we will do our best to help in any way we can.

Have a great week,

Lynsey McCullough and Stuart McQuitty
